Greetings!
The ‘Shorter and Sweeter’ national tour completed its final show this past weekend in Portland, Victoria. All eight of us had been on the road since early March this year and it was an amazing experience seeing parts of SA, NSW & Western Australia. It was a privilege to represent the Short and Sweet brand as a performer on the tour. Massive thanks to the cast and crew of the tour and to both Karen Keegan & artistic director Alex Broun for the opportunity and experience.
All of us chumps from the stage performance of ‘The Road to Hell’, which was performed earlier in the year at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, decided we had much fun working together so why not do it…..again??????! Hence Dylan Watson, Carl J. Sorheim, Troy Larkin, Nathan Strauss, David Gannon & myself have come together under the production company “The Cameralla”. Exciting projects lay ahead with the talented writer Carl J. Sorheim already having the first pilot and trailer completed and ready to shoot. The project is called True Brains and the pilot plans to be cut into a 60 second trailer and will be submitted to the Movie Extra Webfest Competition where the winner receives 50K worth of funding towards the pitched project! More True Brains news coming soon.

Fat Kid Films, the company behind the feature film “The Dream Children” recently released the trailer. I play one of the lead characters ‘Alex Thompson’ alongide fellow actor Graeme Squires who was recently cast for a series on channel nine tentatively titled ‘Cops’. The trailer was well recieved and here’s to hoping we will see the feature itself hit Australian cinemas sometime in 2011!
Another feature I’m in titled ‘City of the Damned’ where I play the ‘drug dealer’ is now in post production and should be due for release early to mid 2011. Visit the ‘City of the Damned’ website to check out the film or even purchase some merchandise.
Congratulations to Katerina Mitropoulous for her project ‘World’s Greatest Dad’ getting accepted into the ‘Katoomba Short Film Festival’. I played the role of the ‘father’ in the film and had the pleasure of being directed by Kat in this piece.
